In order to qualify for Virginia’s medical cannabis oil program, individuals must obtain a valid, written certification from a Virginia Board of Pharmacy-registered practitioner.
To locate a registered practitioner convenient for you who can provide a valid written certification, go to the Virginia Board of Pharmacy website here. Navigate to the License Lookup tab on the left side of the page. In the Occupation drop-down field, choose Registered Practitioner for Cannabis Oil. Enter the Zip Code you are looking for, and choose Current Licensees in the Status drop-down field. This will display all registered practitioners in your search area.
Schedule and complete an appointment with the registered practitioner, and ask any questions you may have about medical cannabis oil treatment. After the appointment is complete, the registered practitioner will provide the written certification you need to apply as a Registered Patient for Cannabis Oil if it is determined medical cannabis oil will help treat your ailments.
Once you receive the proper written certification from a Virginia Board of Pharmacy-registered practitioner, you may begin the registration process to become a Registered Patient for Cannabis Oil, or a Registered Parent/Guardian of Cannabis Oil.
